Nearly one year ago, I was mumbling something about patents.

What is a Patent?

To answer that question, we will quote it from here:

"A U.S. patent gives you, the inventor, the right to “exclude others from making, using, offering for sale, or selling” an invention or “importing” it into the U.S. A plant patent gives you additional rights on the “parts” of plants (e.g., a plant patent on an apple variety would include rights on the apples from the plant variety). What is granted is not the right to make, use, offer for sale, sell or import the invention, but the right to stop others from doing so. If someone infringes on your patent, you may initiate legal action. U.S. patents are effective only within the U.S. and its territories and possessions." @ 11/27/2023

Well, starting December 7th 2023 there will be a Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) in-person training focused on Ex Parte Appeal Proceedings located first in Los Angeles, CA 90071. Say what? Not all of you 558 readers live in Los Angeles, CA 90071? Ok, ok, neither do I right now.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office figured that out and created a Roadshow!

How 'bout that!? (LOL)

Note:  The author is referring to oneself when he writes  I or You in a sentence.

Since January of 2023,  I had this dream of retiring from Briggs and Stratton - Advanced Battery Manufacturing located in Tucker, Georgia USA in August of 2023.  Then, burrowing about $50,000.00 USD to get my small companies off the ground and run them after COVID-19 Epidemic calm down.  That was Plan A & Plan B.

At 53 years old, whereas, I been working for someone since 1985, roughly 38 years; I figured that I would try to ' live the dream '.

So, Plan C was to avoid using Web Hosting Companies and go straight to AWS ( Amazon Web Service).  Well, I must admit, I was very ignorant.  Forget the term 'naive', fore, that would mean that my situation was innocent.  It was not.

I call myself being the expert web master from 1998 to 2016.  I said to myself,  ' I know how to build web sites, and all I need is a password, a FTP (file transfer protocol) program, access to a web server to place my website on and I'm GOOD TO GO.   BAMN !'

Plan D was go to Barnes and Noble Bookstore and purchase an AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Official Study Guide.   I figured that web hosting on AWS would not be too complicated for a person who went to college here, there and a little graduate school over where?  I was wrong.

So, what really happen?    Well,  a lot of things went a rye.    Working in an advance battery factory at my age was somewhat dangerous.  It was not the voltage that could injury or kill you, but the ampere.  With bad knees and starting to get the nickname, 'Ole Man Sparky', I decided to leave or retire early in June of 2023.  Not well thought out after all.

Thinking I had it made with Truist Bank & could burrow $50,000.00 USD, because my FICO score appeared near 700, I was happy.  But, actually I could not have been more wrong.  You see, Equifax, Experian and Transunion does not always report the same FICO scores.

So, you could see 700 on Experian and the Bank Lender could see 615 on Transunion. No $50,000.00 USD loan for you. That weekly paying job (not a career), making roughly $38,000.00 USD a year that you just retired from was God answering your prayers.  But, it is not there for you anymore. So goes Plan A & Plan B.

Are you praying yet?  Plan C was to utilize AWS ( Amazon Web Service), but you failed big time to know exactly what you were embarking yourself & companies into...     AWS, has changed and constantly is changing. Plan D, that 2018 AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Official Study Guide
you bought was out of date.

In fact, you 1st utilize AWS Light Sail product when you should have paid for assistance to use AWS Amplify product.   You know what?  You suck, because you went through Plan A, Plan B, Plan C & Plan D.  What is your fifth Plan?

That is why the small business owner can only speak for himself & not anyone else.
