On Monday April 22nd 2013, after 9 years of service to the tri-county area of Fayette, Fulton and Coweta; Real Kids Academy is officially closed.
For nearly a decade the Owners- Vincent and Katie Andrews (A Brother & Sister Team) alone with their staff made a valiant effort to live by their mission.
Their mission was to provide quality care by focusing on the Children's Safety and Individual Educational needs.
I can personally recall while visiting the Day Care Center, hearing classical music being played in the hallways and classrooms.
Besides classrooms with Caring Teachers, the academy possess a swimming pool and gym.
But, it is unfortunate that the State of Georgia Child Development took the Pre Kindergarten ("Pre-K") Program from this Center which served three counties and not just one.
It is believe the reasoning was because Fayette County Residents could afford Pre-K.
At the same time, it is understood that Parents were losing jobs and transferring to other areas.
The Center declined from 150 students to 35 students. Therefore the cost to maintain grew beyond expectations and the Andrews decided that it would be best to close the doors.
Thank you Andrew Family for living the American Dream while helping raise Children to Adults.
