Should We Do Business With MLM Companies In This Economy?
We were asked by Individuals who supplemented their income by serving as MLM Agents to network with them. Well, our first impressions of MLM Agents are not good.
But, that is not utilizing tact and professionalism.
Is a MLM a franchise?
Yes, a MLM is partly a "franchise" and partly "direct marketing".
But, don't believe us- look it up Online with the URL below:
http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Multi-level+marketing
<< Below is an abridged copy of that definition found Online at the "thefreedictionary.com".>>
{Multi-level marketing is a business model that combines direct marketing with franchising. Multi-level marketing businesses function by recruiting salespeople to sell a product and offer additional sales commissions based on the sales of people recruited into their downline. This arrangement is similar to franchise arrangements where royalties are paid from the sales of individual franchise operations to the franchisor.
Legitimacy
Multi-level marketing has an image problem due to the fact that it is often difficult to distinguish MLMs from illegal pyramid schemes. MLM businesses operate in the United States and in more than 100 other countries, and may use a term like "home-based business franchising". However, many pyramid schemes try to present themselves as legitimate MLM.

We started to discredit MLM(s) altogether, instead we will not and let you be the judge. However, we will leave you with a link below and state,
"Be aware of what you get into before you get into it".

Mr. Adams, I appreciate your comments. I too run a business and have been approached by a person in my business networking group to look at a network marketing, MLM, company. I did and have decided to participate in the business.
ReplyDeleteI have found it to be legal and financially rewarding. The business team I participate with is recently moved into the Atlanta area and I would be happy to discuss this with your further.
Congratulations on your success and you should feel complemented that you were approached.
